Donella Meadows and Dennis Meadows both served on the faculty at Dartmouth College for almost thirty years. In the recordings below, they discuss their roles as teachers, their approach to education, and their work and ideas at that time. The recordings were made in 1976 at the Fellows meeting at Lindisfarne in New York, which focused on “Economics and the Moral Order”. Lindisfarne was an association of scientists, artists, scholars, and contemplatives devoted to the study and realization of a new planetary culture. The association was founded by cultural historian William Irwin Thompson. The whole series of the Lindisfarne tapes (49 speakers) is available through the Schumacher Center for a New Economics.
